  1. Thank you for your website! I studied at Transylvania University, Lexington, KY (BA 1973) with Dr. Benjamin Lewis who in turn had studied at Harvard with Dr. Sorokin. Indeed Dr. Sorokin spoke at Transylvania sometime in the 60’s. I’m not sure of the dates. But there may be a publication related to his presentation? I’ll be back to visit your website often!

Again, thank you and best wishes,

    Sincerely,

    Louise Glenn

    1. Thank you for your interest in my sight, Louise. Sorokin spoke once at my alma mater, Brandeis University, when I was a student there, but I was not aware of and did not attend the lecture. My father attended Harvard, and his transcript shows that he took the two semester introductory course Social Relations 1a and 1b, which was taught by Sorokin. Despite having formed an interest in Sorokin rather early, I did not know this until much later, and never discussed Sorokin with my father. Sorokin had a relationship with Lewis A. Coser, whose sociology course I took at Brandeis Also with Abraham Maslow, who was teaching at Brandeis when I was there.
